Lost in London, but not a bad way to see the city...

Sam Hazewinkel and Jordan Burroughs both made weight today and are re-hydrating with coconut water and other recovery type drinks.  They are in the shape of their lives and ready to compete for medals.  Make sure to set your DVR to record because they probably won't be on the prime time broadcast.  Today the athletes received their adjustments and their training partners.  The coaches also get checked and adjusted.  Today John Smith, wrestling legend, was corrected along with Brandon Sley.

Right now the athletes start to recluse and mentally prepare for their matches so there is not as much idle chatter and goofing around.

On a side note congratulations are in order for our women's soccer team as they win gold! I am on the lookout for Tobin Heath of Basking Ridge, to congratulate her but it is the proverbial needle-haystack scenario here.

Personally, I got about 5 hours of sleep.  It doesn't really matter here though because it is go, go, go all day long and tired isn't allowed.  Plus, this is an experience in which I want to make the most of every situation.

The team basically had off this afternoon so I headed into London to catch some sites with a few other guys and we spent most of the day on the "tube" subway, and took the wrong bus.  London has bikes that are free if you return them within 30 minutes, so here we are a bunch of Americans not familiar with traffic patterns weaving in and out of buses, cars, pedestrians and worst of all seasoned cyclist that are riding bikes with gears!

Needless to say we made it out alive, barely, had a great authentic Italian dinner in Piccadilly Circus and then came back to the dorms. It is just about 1am here and past my bed time.

I had planned on a video blog today but seemed to be rushing everywhere.  FYI-The wrestler in the photos is JD Bergman.

I will be posting one tomorrow night.
